Maker, design, adept collector of materials, mountain-biker and climber.

Georg Foster is a Swiss designer with German and English roots, having grown up in Cameroon and Turkey as well as Switzerland and the UK.
He obtained a BA in Product Design at Central Saint Martins in London and a MAS in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship at ECAL school of art and design in Lausanne.

His work experience spans widely across the creative industries; 3D Workshop technician, tutoring product design and furniture making summer courses at St. Martins whilst working for studios and brands such as Fred Rigby, Patrick Laing, Hedon luxury motorcycle helmets, Bulo in London and atelier oï in Switzerland.

Georg is now part time co–handling the textile and ceramic workshops of Dynamo in Zurich and having his own practice at K18a.

With a strong passion for materials and processes he strives for simplicity and honesty within his designs. He enjoys the challenge of working across a multitude of design disciplines. This he believes fuels his creativity, with the ability to connect elements from past experiences and present research and exposure.
